Fit through the winter
Haeger & Schmidt Logistics (HSL) is very active and creative in the area of company health management. The latest campaign is called “Fit and healthy through the winter”. Before the programme starts, it is tailored to the wishes of the employees. Everyone can communicate what they are most interested in through a survey. “We want to motivate our employees to do something for their fitness and health. In order to create a custom-fit offer, we first ask for the wishes. After that, we will start implementing the most frequently mentioned topics,” confirms Thorsten Koch from HSL.
Felbermayr moves into new company headquarters
This summer, the Austrian family-owned company Felbermayr, to which Haeger & Schmidt Logistics also belongs, moved into its new headquarters in Wels/Oberthan. The commercial area comprises a total of three halls with a total of around 18,000 m². In addition, there are office and social buildings with 9,000 m², which offer space for about 250 office workplaces. In the interests of optimising energy technology, the planning of the new building also took into account a photovoltaic system that can produce around 500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Heating and cooling is provided in an energy-friendly manner by means of a heat pump.
Strong performance
At Haeger & Schmidt Logistics (HSL) we love challenges of all kinds, not only logistical but also sporting…
Three HSL colleagues, Rene Kohlhause from the IT department, Mario Böhm from Port Logistics and Manuel Keßler from HSW have done it: 300 km in one day. As part of the “Ruhr2NorthSea-Challenge” sports event, they cycled from Duisburg to the North Sea in Esens-Bensersiel.
“We think this is a strong achievement. In addition to the sporting achievement, we also have high regard for the fact that a team has formed within the circle of colleagues. We hope that next year we will all be able to take on sporting challenges together again, whether in dragon boat races, company runs or joint cycle races,” says HSL CFO Per Nyström.
